BeraadGeglagen is the duo of drummer Lander Gyselinck (STUFF., LABtrio) and keyboardist / singer Fulco Ottervanger (De Beren Gieren): a musical think tank with drums, keys, lyrics and bells. You have to see this band live. To immerse yourself in his flipped laboratory, in which Ottervanger, like a mad professor, conjures up damp basses and swishing fwies from his three keyboards and Gyselinck dances around his drum heads like a shaman.

Fronted by female lead singer Marcella Di Troia, Black Mirrors is where alternative rock, shamanic psychedelia, vocal intimacy and virtuosity find their home. Combine elements of Royal Blood, Massive Attack, Janis Joplin, Queens Of The Stone Age and Anouk, and Black Mirrors is what you’ll get. Straightforward rock hits, hypnotizing melodies and groovy tunes are only a few elements of what Black Mirrors exhibits. Belgian music awards winner for best rock & alternative 2018.

Blanche, aka Ellie Delvaux, is a 19-year-old Belgian singer, whose first single ‘City Lights’ propelled her straight to the top of the European charts in 2017. Blanche’s precocious songwriting, compelling, sultry vocals and melodies will surely make an impression at Eurosonic. Already a big name in Belgium, the young winner of European Border Breakers Awards 2018 is currently working on her debut album to be released in early 2020.

Over the past few years, Brihang has emerged as one of Belgium's most exciting young musicians, with a remarkable mixture of hip hop, poetry and visual artistry. His debut album zolangmogelijk (2016) gathered much critical acclaim, and on second album Casco (October 2019) Brihang manages to meet the enormous expectations generated by his debut LP.

Belgian-Caribbean artist Charlotte Adigéry proves herself to be a consummate storyteller. Sometimes patently silly, sometimes deeply introspective, Adigéry’s ever-wandering mind spins tales that are absurd and poignant and ridiculously fun. Having been taught the ropes by her Martinique-born mother – namely rhythm’s relationship to musicality and the importance of a sense of humour – Adigéry is a persuasive young artist who can sing about lizards one moment and latex the next.

DJ and producer with Peruvian origins. In 12 years in European nightlife DC crafted his sound into something pretty diverse: house, new beat, 90’s wrong speeder or percussive beats. His singular approach made him a regular/resident DJ at C11 in Brussels, Kiosk and Tsugi Radio and took him to stages of Dour Festival, Listen Festival, Renate (Berlin), RexClub (Paris) and Nitsa (Barcelona).
As a producer he’s released EPs and remixes on prestigious labels such as Relish, Kill The DJ, B - Pitch Control, Correspondant and of course Biologic Records, the
label he co - runs with Abstraxion since 2012. After his first album « The Unspoken », in 2017, Diego released 2 EP’s in 2019 (on KuratedBy and Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant) with remixes by
Fort Romeau, Bell Towers or Betonkust. Two EP’s are now in the pipeline for 2020: on Eclair Fifi’s River Rapid and the legendary Live At Robert Johnson imprint. But 2020 will also see DC’s new solo
live act — a personal approach of what dance floor music is about, in collaboration with Ghent talented visual agency Vue Studio.

On his first solo album, FULCO sings the everyday delusion. The Dutchman from Ghent already played with BeraadGeslagen, STADT and De Beren Gieren, but in the meantime worked constantly on nine catchy songs. Think of colorful synths and tasty drums. A lot of melody and even post-punk. With examples such as Connan Mockasin, Sly & The Family Stone, and Mac DeMarco. A loose musicality and a wonderfully rich language ensure that FULCO has made a splendor of a Dutch-language pop album.

Geike Arnaert was the face of Hooverphonic for 11 years. In 2008 she decided to leave the band and go solo. After a first solo record, 7 years passed until all of the sudden “Zoutelande”, a collab with Dutch band BLOF appeared and became a record breaking hit single. Together with Joost Zweegers (Novastar) Geike kept writing new songs. This resulted in a brilliant pop album, produced by Wouter Van Belle and released on Sony Music.

Since founded in 2017, Glauque has been surrounded by mystique. They wander in emotion-packed electronic fields with poetic rap. The group was named after the neglected color of greenish gray. They have already performed in Dour Festival and Sonic Visions with only two released singles, so you are just in time for this journey.

Their songs are infused with subtle electronics and string arrangements and the lyrics are still all sung in the West-Flemish (Belgian, Dutch) dialect. The language is however no issue as the music comes across strong and it all blends into their signature sound. Singer Wannes Cappelle’s personal lyrics have made them one of Belgium’s leading acts. Their previous album resulted in a 140-show tour in the BeNeLux and left them with a gold certified record and two awards. The band has now set its mind on their first international endeavors.

Jan Verstraeten must be one of the most common names in Belgium. You would never associate it with de Disneyesque strings, cinematic indie pop and lo-fi bossanova that make up visual artist and musician Jan Verstraeten’s intruiging debut EP ‘Cheap Dreams’. He suddenly arose out of nowhere, from a small room in a grey provincial town, to be more precise. That’s where Jan Verstraeten worked on his debut for years.

Six-piece stellar future dub formation from Ghent, Belgium, combining heaviness and psychedelics with the freedom of jazz. Plenty of haunting sax, smart organ and loose-limbed guitar thrive on jumping bass lines and straight forward crisp drumming, leaving you no choice but to dance, pump and drop. Heavy, hybrid and free, that’s the trip though Kosmo Sound’s universe.

Her first track Dilemme, produced by El Guincho, is catching everyone's attention. Aged only 23, Lous has already lived many lives between her current home in Bruxelles, and her congolese roots. These strong contrasts have helped forged a unique and powerful personality. Both her music and writing reach a compelling intensity. Lous & the Yakuza is already the must-see of this year's Les Trans Musicales, and ESNS Eurosonic: watch out for her first record early 2020 on Columbia/Sony!

Sylvie Kreusch rose to prominence as the female vocalist of Warhaus. With her smouldering vocals, velvety tones, and impressive live performances, she won critical acclaim from magazines and newspapers such as American Vogue and The New York Times. While also impressing the fashion industry - after having worked together with brands such as Ann Demeulemeester, HBO, Victoria’s Secret, BMW, and Miu Miu - Kreusch composed for houses such as Prada and featured in four different editions of Vogue as Europe’s next ‘breakthrough-star’. Atypical rhythmic undulations and demanding vocals find a home on Kreusch’s debut EP. Kreusch’s whisper-to-a-scream timbral fluctuations are met with brutal honesty.

This atypical brass band gets its roots in electronic music, abstract hip hop and avant-gardiste jazz. Truly hyperactive, the four multitask musicians became a must see of the belgian musical landscape. With them, acoustic meets electronic (analog synth, fx), freedom and energy embrace a serious groove in their songs composed for three brass players and a drummer.

The Guru Guru have been happily dealing in Borderline Rock. Imagine: lead vocals wearing a multicolored strait-jacket, haunted by feverish guitars and a tormented rhythm section. Praised for their live performances, THE GURU GURU is a must-see... With palpable, electric energy oozing from the stage, vocalist Tom Adriaenssens balances on the verge of theatrical psychosis. Zwangere Guy (Pregnant Guy) from Brussels is a true phenomenon of the Belgian hiphop scene. On ‘Wie is Guy?’ (released by TopNotch, 2019) he looks back to the past, when he still dreamt of tomorrow. Doctor Guy raps in a heartfelt and seemingly spontaneous way, describing his own personal journey while simultaneously exorcising his past in a blast of consciousness storytelling.
