GEORGE HENNESSEY (UK - Britrock / grunge)

Nominated to be "Big in 2021" by the UK's leading guitar music platform THIS FEELING

London based singer/songwriter boldly marrying the supposed opposites of grunge and Britrock. Recording debut album in 2021. George Hennessey doesn’t lack ambition. By looking to the greats, the South London-dwelling singer-songwriter knows where he wants to go and knows the capacity of rock to change lives. “Don’t be afraid of what other people think,” he exhorts. “Do what you want to do. Go for it, life’s short.

KINDERZIMMER PRODUCTIONS (DE - Hiphop)

When it comes to sophisticated hiphop made in Germany, Kinderzimmer Productions might be the most interesting act to dive in. Since the mid-90s MC Textor and DJ Quasi Modo are pushing the boundaries of what German rap can do. Textor delivers psychedelic, ultra-fast, poetic and sometimes plain weird lyrics, while Quasi Modo is the go-to guy for deep beats, jazzy nods to rap’s greatest and funky basslines that bounce perfectly with Textor’s rap parts. Their 1998-record “Die Erste” is still a classic these days, but their comeback studio album “Todesverachtung To Go” from 2020 showed their fans and haters how they’re still up for it. By the way: the name Kinderzimmer Productions is a nod to the original Boogie Down Productions - you might have guessed it. The German Rolling Stone once wrote, Kinderzimmer Productions are a “good combination of creative beats, smart lyrics and the right attitude. They cultivate conscious rap – with grace and courage.” ‘Nuff said.

FRUM (FO - Indie electro / pop)

"This new single is a light-hearted and uplifting affair that really captivates the listener with its gentle groove. There’s a lovely build-up of sounds and structures happening here, resulting in a song that is as anthemic as it is intimate. Frum actually delivers a clever pop smasher in disguise in this track and you will know what I mean once it’ll stuck in your head all day. Hopefully, we’ll see and hear more from Frum over the course of 2021."

DEAD STAR TALK (DK - Rock)

"As a producer with more than 40 years of experience, I can honestly say that it’s rare to come across a band with this kind of authentic love for the big rock songs. Especially in 2020. When it comes to guitar music there are so many hipster, jazz and metal productions out there, so it’s special to find a band with this kind of attitude, energy and natural gift for the big sing-along choruses. I guess we haven’t seen much like it since the ’90s. Doesn’t hurt that they are great guys too.”

Grammy-winning producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Mew, etc.)

"oasis won't be back any time soon, but now we have DEAD STAR TALK"

"DEAD STAR TALK are bringing back the excess, freedom and euphoria of arena rock music"

Kulturnews

“Love Leash sounds wonderfully British, making the song shine with pop appeal, while staying current and not lost in the past.“
