The hip hop of MC Textor aka Henrik von Holtum and DJ Quasi Modo aka Sascha Klammt, has always ticked its very own box. Kinderzimmer Productions know how to use powerful bass, express historical awareness and be adventurous by mixing perfect samples, injecting jazz and funk into the rhythms and above all – mixing rapping and lyrical writing in a way that is both on and off track at the same time.
Kinderzimmer Production’s previous studio album "Asphalt" was released a whopping twelve years ago, and since then the duo only offered its fans a few sporadic concerts, and the farewell live
recording "Over And Out", which was a classical music meets rap live mash-up produced by the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra of the public Austrian Radio and TV ORF in 2011.
Starting out as the trio "Die 3 Rüben", the project eventually developed into todays duo, which became known under the moniker of Kinderzimmer Productions. Six studio
albums later fans, audiences and critiques alike were still being hard pushed to put the duo into a conventional genre box. The sound was too bumpy for the charts, the lyrics were too loud without
coming off the street, the songs drifted off into jazz improvisations without leaving hip hop.
German superstar Herbert Grönemeyer will be releasing Kinderzimmer Production’s comeback album, "Todesverachtung To Go", on his label Grönland Records. Kinderzimmer Productions are thus back with strong
partners in crime, taking off where they left off with their independent approach to hip hop and rap, not being stuck between Zeitgeist, tradition and nostalgia.
"Todesverachtung To Go" will be released on 17th of January 2020. The first single "Es kommt in Wellen" is a humming, smart, funky, entertaining track featuring German
hip hop greats Fettes Brot, Flo Mega and Fantasma Goria, and will be released on 13th of September 2019.
