Rock en Seine Confirms First Names

The Parisian festival, which takes place from August 26th to 28th, has confirmed the first 25 bands of its line-up 2016. The list includes Massive Attack, Sigur Rós, Iggy Pop, Eagles of Deat Metal, Foals and many more. During the first 48 hours of the advance sale, tickets will be sold for a special price of 99 Euro in Germany.

Rock en Seine, which takes place in the Prc de Saint-Cloud in central Paris, can be counted among the most important European music festivals. Joining Trip-Hop masters Massive Attack, Icelandic dreamweavers Sigur Rós, stage hog Iggy Pop, indierockers Foals and the Eagles of Death Metal, a congregation of high-quality acts will be playing at the festival. For instance The Last Shadow Puppets who will travel to Paris with a new record, Cassius and Birdy Nam Nam who both will celebrate  home fixture with their appearance in the Parc de Saint-Cloud, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley who will provide sunshine and cheerfulness. 

Nostalgic sentiments will be evoked with Skate-Punk heroes Sum 41, the British metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon and the Aistralians Wolfmother. While Scottish Indiepop-favourites CHVRCHES, Tim Commerford's (Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave) new project WARKAT and Anderson .Paak, a swiftly rising name in the American Rap and R'n'B scene, will offer an insight to contemporary musical trends.

Besides the potent line-up, Rock en Seine mainly impresses with its french and elegant atmosphere: a glass of red wine, high-class food, miscellaneous expositions and a special afternoon programme for children from 6 to 10 (the "Mini Rock en Seine") provide for three memorable days in the city of love. The Rock en Seine festival therefore also provides the perfect opportunity to combine a city trip with a music festival.
