ROSKILDE 2019 RECAP
Roskilde Festival is more than music, art, food and parties. Much more. It's also a week-long celebration of togetherness and community - that's something we want to encourage all year, through donations and cooperation with organisations working for a more equal society.
This years Roskilde Festival saw a total of 130, 000 visitors who took part in the completely sold out Festival 2019, celebrating 8 days of community, music, art and activism.
As always all profits will be donated to charity.

General:
- Roskilde Festival 2019 lasted 8 days between Saturday 29 June and Saturday 6 July
- 80.000 full festival tickets and 5.000 one-day tickets (a total of 20.000 one day-tickets) were for sale for #RF19. Everything sold out long before the beginning of the festival
- There are about 30.000 volunteers. Including volunteers the daily capacity is 115.000.
- There is a total of 130.000 festival-goers (whoch makes Roskilde Festival Denmark's fourth largest city measured by population).
- Roskilde Fetsival 2019 was the 49th edition. The first was in 1971
The Organisation:
- Since 1972 Roskilde Festival has been non-profit. Every year, the Roskilde Festival Charity Society organises Roskilde Festival with the purpose of generating funds to donate to humanitarian and cultural initiatives. The Roskilde Festival Charity Society is exempt from VAT and is therefore not allowed to use the profit for forthcoming festivals or for other investments.
- Since the beginning of the 70s the Roskilde Festival Charity Society has generated more than 385 million DKK (51 million euros) to charity
