Babé Sila  // r&b

Babé Sila is a Hungarian r&b/soul singer-songwriter based in London.

She used to go to a music school as a kid where she learned to play the violin and then the guitar later in her teenage years. She started her music career at the age of 21 by singing in a jazz-soul band in Budapest and shortly after she started writing poems and melodies and teamed up with producers to turn her ideas into songs. 90s r&b/soul formed her taste in music, she grew up listening to Whitney Houston, Sade, Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Destiny's Child.

Her sound is also heavily influenced by the genre as she writes songs that feature emotional lyrics, soulful chords, 808 beats, deep bass and lots of harmonies. She had great success in her home country (after the first releases Hungarian press referred to her as the local queen of r&b) so she decided to try her luck at the international scene. She moved to London and in 2017 she got signed by a Berlin based publishing company and she started working with an international management team. Ever since she splits her time between Berlin, London and NYC to write songs and to perform.

Bohemian Betyars  // autonational

Formed in 2009, Bohemian Betyars is a fiddler band with a purpose to spread the feeling of bitter revelry (an oh so Hungarian specialty) the farthest possible. The Budapest-based world music band incorporates a hilarious number of genres into its sound: speed-folk freak-punk spiced up with Hungarian, Balkanic and Gipsy elements. From the USA to Spain, China to Japan, in the last couple of years this real power boost band made the audience dance about a thousand times. Be it on the street, at a club or a festival, the catchy tunes of Bohemian Betyars will yank you out of the mundane weekdays and throw you into the deep waters of delirium, just as it was planned to happen.

Dope Calypso  // garage rock

Come dive into the amazing, glamorous and nonsensical world of Dope Calypso, serving you honest concert experiences from Budapest, Hungary. Their sound is like if all of a sudden, garage punk fell deeply in love with the delicate pop music of the late sixties. This somewhat extraordinary duplexity was born throughout their yearly releases. The two-minute long tracks line up in full blossom: filled with obscure lyrics, tons of references to pop culture and sacredness, telling absurd stories, while also working perfectly as pop song showing everyone how surprisingly entertaining it is when you are totally unable to take yourself seriously.

Mayberian Sanskülotts  // dream pop

Mayberian Sanskülotts is a Hungarian dream pop band that successfully merges the rigid romanticism of '80-s new wave bands like the Cure, the slow-burning grandiosity of Slowdive-esque shoegaze and the dreaminess and melodic sensibilities of contemporary acts like Beach House.  Singer Zita Csordás brings an ethereal, powerful presence to the mix that evokes Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins and Hungarian folk music at the same time. Despite these influences, their music is very much their own, always meandering between the deeply personal and the spiritual. The band released their new album, Neverending Sorry in February published by a legendary Hungarian label. We had some exciting performances in 2019: Primavera Sound (Barcelona), Waves Vienna showcase festival, Sziget Festival (Budapest) as well as we supported the Courtney Barnett show in Budapest too. The band is celebrating the 10. anniversary in 2020 with a special gig in a magnificant building at Müpa Budapest. Previous this show we will be on tour with stops in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy.
