The Ukrainian delegation is returning to Waves Vienna 2021 in two weeks and bringing two handpicked acts with them; crispy indie rock band The Unsleeping and R&B falsetto prince Zbaraski.
There will also be Ukrainian delegates behind both acts and from companies such as Ukraine's largest online event Intercity Live Festival, Closer club, label Bitanga Blood, Brave! Factory Festival, Strichka Festival, Youtube live show series Zmova, Strela Booking and Promo Agency, innovative electronic music school Module Exchange and electronic music events Module Live, Ukrainian Institute. As always, Music Export Ukraine team is there to help you find the right networks on site.
Ukrainian delegation is brought to Waves Vienna this year as a part of Extra Sound program, created by Ukrainian Institute in partnership with House of Europe.

The Unsleeping is a Kyiv indie-rock band founded in a provincial town back in 2013. Since then, the guys have released two EPs as well as a live video, Fire Of Red, which helped the essentially unknown band to be selected for Sziget Festival in 2019, surpassing famous local artists. The Unsleeping performances are extremely energetic, passionate and dramatic, spiced with a dash of craziness. That’s why the band was immediately picked up by major Ukrainian festivals and praised by audiences.

Zbaraski

Zbaraski is a musician and sound producer from Lviv. He creates a well-produced sound unexpected for the Eastern European scene. His debut EP Bo Ya Tak Khochu (‘Because I Want It Like That’) was released in 2019 and established Zbaraski on Ukrainian scene as a promising new wave artist. Zbaraski’s ‘bedroom pop’ music combines old R&B, soul, and hip-hop, with a base of Ukrainian lyrics sung in silky falsetto. All of this combined makes Zbaraski concerts full of reflection and relaxation.
