Dope Calypso serves honest rock straight outta Budapest that sounds like a love story between garage punk and the delicate pop music of the late 60's. This lovestory creates glamorous and nonsensical worlds at once. From their 2014 debut album to today, the band has gone through a lot of development: from a Pixies like grunge band to a concept based, Pond like synthpop formation. Dope Calypso has already performed at Eurosonic and Primavera and is more than ready to convince you of their talent at Reeperbahn Festival.

Pompeya is a Russian New Wave band, based in L.A. Their music contains the best of three decades: 70's disco music, 80's pop music and 90's indie music are all huge inspirations for the musicians. Drums, bass and guitar is all the band needs to create their sound that makes you dream of past summer nights. After being played by Californian radio station KCRW, the band flew over for a couple of gigs and eventually stayed in the Golden State. They have already marked their mark in the local indie-scene and it is just a matter of time when we will hear them being played up and down our local radio stations.

Please The Trees is a textbook example of an alternative band. Their sound is edgy, energetic and unapologetic and the band is constantly in forward motion - in their music, on stage and in the band's history. They have existed for over a decade and constantly reinvent themselves and the band's setting. Which might be the reason for their extraordinary energy on stage. Their signature feature is the lead singer's gripping voice - not to be missed on a recording and surely not to be missed live!

Solo Ansamblis developed a style of music which their ever-growing audience appropriately named "sad dance". It combines rave and emotion, creates shattering moods with digitally processed sounds as well as with live instruments. The band's concerts are pieces of art where the goal is to create atmosphere where everyone dances like nobody is watching. Sound and light, scenography and smoke are the trusted tools here. The band's debut album "Roboxai" (2016) led to several festival gigs and support shows for artists such as Gus Gus or Röyksopp and to a Lithuanian Music Award for best alternative music.

Blue Jean Serenade's sound is catchy, distinct and baritonal. Within their two years existence, they have played many local shows and become a well-recognised band in the Baltic music scene. The band loves to focus on the fact that they are family (Anna and Janis are siblings) and friends before being band colleagues. Which makes their live shows personal and feel like a fresh breeze of air after a long day at work. Their self-released debut EP “All My Friends Care About Celebrities, Well, I Don’t” is the lead-singer Janis' chat with the world through the eyes of a love seeking, self-confident and a deprecative teenager who only believes he has it all figured out. This is only the start for the young band!

VAMA is a Romanian pop-rock band whose output runs the gamut from music-hall and indie rock to electro and blues. This eclecticism is the product of the band members' dazzlingly wide range of musical influences and education. The band's forte is perhaps its live shows. VAMA are at their happiest on stage: the guys are highly experienced instrumentalists and Chirilă imbues (vocals), who also happens to be an actor, combines their performances with the showmanship and stagecraft that only an actor can bring.
